In this phone call, Pezeshkian referred to the activities of terrorist groups in northern Syria, stating that the spread of insecurity and terrorism in the region is not in favor of any country, and to combat this ominous phenomenon, all countries in the region must play a role and participate.
The Iranian president emphasized: "We seek a secure region with the preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Islamic countries and a life filled with peace and tranquility for all nations in the region. In this regard, it is necessary for the leaders of the countries in the region to take the initiative to ensure regional security before outsiders allow themselves to intervene."
He further appreciated Qatar's efforts and pivotal role as a mediator in regional crises, especially regarding Gaza, and added: "We hope that your will and determination to create peace in the region will continue, and that we can improve the state of peace and security in the region by helping each other while strengthening unity and cohesion among Islamic countries".
The President also referred to the role of the Zionist regime in spreading insecurity and terrorism in the Islamic world, stating: "We believe that the Zionist regime does not want Muslim nations to live in peace and tranquility, and this makes avoiding discord and fostering convergence and unity among the Islamic Ummah very necessary and important".
In another part of his remarks, Pezeshkian referred to the very good relations between Iran and Qatar and the agreements reached between the two countries during his recent visit to Doha.
He stated, "We are determined to implement these agreements, and in this regard, our high-level economic delegation will come to Qatar to participate in the joint economic commission of the two countries and to explore ways to expedite the implementation of these agreements."

He stressed the continuation of cooperation and consultations between the two countries to resolve these issues, stating, "We believe that what is happening in Syria shows that stability and security cannot be achieved except through dialogue and a political solution. In this regard, we are fully prepared to play a role in establishing peace in Syria through a political agreement."
