Ayman Sosan, Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister of Syria, who has left for Iran at the head of a delegation, met with Ali Asghar Khaji, Senior Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on Special Political Affairs, on Monday.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin who is in Tehran at the head of a diplomatic delegation held a meeting with Ali Asghar Khaji on Sunday to discuss the latest regional and international developments, especially in Syria, Libya, and Yemen.

In a Thursday meeting with the Turkish delegation at the 18th Astana platform conference, Khaji reviewed the latest political and field developments in Syria.

"All parties to the Astana process on Syria have confirmed their participation in the talks to be held in the capital of Kazakhstan on June 15-16. Delegations from the guarantor countries: Russia, Turkey and Iran, as well as the Syrian government and the Syrian armed opposition will take part," TASS cites Smadiyarov said.

Following Tehran's consultation to resolve the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen, Khaji spoke with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Yemen via video conference.

Ali Asghar Khaji sent a message to UN Secretary-General's Special Representative for Yemen Hans Grunberg condemning the killing of defenseless people of Yemen and bombing cities, civilian areas, and infrastructure by the Saudi coalition.
