The 120-member Russian business and economic delegation will come to Tehran on Monday (November 14, 2022) and then travel to the cities of Rasht, Anzali and Isfahan.
Iran and Russia share strategic interests in bilateral fields, especially economic, military, and security relations, as well as regional and international issues such as confronting American unilateralism, and this has been one of the main factors of close cooperation between the two sides in recent years.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought attended the luncheon held by Kazem Jalali, Iran’s ambassador to Moscow on the sideline of his visit to the Russian capital.
"Russia is a priority country for Iran to develop relations with," he said. The diplomat added that Iranian-Russian relations have entered a new phase. "Our top priority is the development of relations with neighboring countries," he said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Thursday.
During a meeting on Thursday, Kazem Jalali and Igor Margolov called for Iran and Russia's consultation and cooperation as well as constant contact to address the bilateral issues.
"Kazem Jalali", Iran's ambassador to Russia, on Friday met with " Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky ", the chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, at the request of the Russian side, to talk about bilateral relations between Iran and Russia, and exchanged views, especially on parliamentary cooperation.
