Iran’s permanent representative in UN has called on the Security Council to take immediate action against the recent Israeli attacks against Lebanese and Iranian capital.

The UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland today issued a fervent plea for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, amid “cataclysmic” suffering in the Gaza Strip and continuing violence in the occupied West Bank.

The United Nations Special Envoy for Children and Armed Conflict, Virginia Gamba de Potgieter, has scheduled to visit the Occupied Palestinian lands in an effort to investigate Israeli crimes against Palestinian children.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said Wennesland was summoned to its headquarters for clarifications.
