In the meeting, the Iranian official underlined that the Islamic Republic strongly condemns the interference of the French Foreign Ministry and some French officials in Iran’s internal affairs under false pretexts.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Nasser Kanaani noted: "It is a shameful paradox that the official spokespersons and high-ranking officials of an administration, who wanted to bring the Iranian people to their knees trough the of "maximum pressure" policy and crushing sanctions are now advocating the people of Iran." 

Nasser Kanaani criticized the dual standards of the US and the West on his Instagram page and wrote: "The approach of the enemies towards the Islamic Republic has always been accompanied by hypocrisy and double standards."
