Imam Khomeini changed world leadership

Imam Khomeini changed world leadership
Dr Emad Bazzi, lecturer at University of Leeds in UK, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) conducted on the Islamic revolution of Iran, said: “The major achievement and legacy of this revolution is to create a new world system what I like to call the new Islamic world order.”

He stated that this Islamic world order has dimensioned at the legal, political, cultural stage which go against the dominion and the hegemonic western culture.

Assistant professor in Islamic studies in University of Khalifa in UAE noted that this Islam obeys the major guidelines of the world hegemonic order and this makes Imam Khomeini the idol breaker at the global stage and this is the problem of the west with Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist.

“The other world system which have rose up to challenge western hegemonic was much stronger than Iran. It controlled almost one third of the world geography and resources but this world system was prone to defeat”, he continued.

Islamic revolution inspired the world

He expressed that Islamic revolution has given inspiration to the Muslim communities and made many changes around the world. In Australia people came to take pride in the religion.

“The names have changed. People used to call their children with western names. We began to see that the names of Hussain and Ali and Mohammad, Abdollah, Fatemeh and Batool have become much popular”, he said.

“Without exaggeration this proves the very important word of Imam Khomeini that the revolution was an explosion of light. This needs a lot of thinking and if a seminar was devoted to this phrase, it is worthy,” Emad Bazzi continued.

The greatest challenge in Islamic revolution

He noted about the greatest challenge that the revolution is facing which is not the enmity of the west or America, nor the hypocrisy of the Persian Gulf state.

He stated that the greatest challenge is how to combine Islamic principles with populous sovereignty and said: “No political system can sustain if it goes against the people aspiration and choice.”

Emad Bazzi concluded that this needs huge intellectual effort by scholars from seminary and the scholars outside the seminary who are thinkers and if it succeeds, it would prove to be a guide to other Islamic communities in the world.
