In a telephone call with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Salem Abdullah Jaber Al-Sabah on Thursday, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian condemned the Israeli settlers storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Amir-Abdollahian also stressed the shore-up of regional cooperation to maintain peace and stability in the region and welcomed the upcoming Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment (ROPME) to be hosted by Kuwait.
Sheikh Salem, for his part, stressed the fixed position of Kuwait on the Palestinian issue and condemned the Israeli's intrusion into the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He also reacted to the French magazine's insult to Islamic values under the pretext of freedom of expression, noting that insulting the religious leaders was an insult to all Muslims.
The French magazine recently held a cartoon contest, on January 4, in which it insulted the leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei.
