Jewish settlers have shot and killed a Palestinian young man on Saturday evening in the West Bank city of Salfit.

27-year-old Mithqal Rayyan succumbed to the serious injuries he sustained in the head after Jewish settlers fired live bullets at him in Qarawat Bani Hassan village, according to the Palestinian ministry of health.
 
Eyewitnesses reported that Rayyan was proclaimed dead after he was fatally injured in the head during a Jewish settlers’ attack in the northern area of Qarawat Bani Hassan village.
 
The death of Rayyan brought the number of Palestinian citizens killed by Israeli army and Jewish settlers since the beginning of 2023 to 46, including nine children and an old woman in addition to a prisoner who died of deliberate medical negligence in the Israeli jails.
