This Iranian diplomat stated that in his recent meeting with Andrey Belousov the first deputy prime minister of Russia, he discussed the expansion of maritime cooperation, and the Russian authorities welcomed the establishment of a joint shipping company.
Iran's ambassador to Russia elsewhere said: "With the development of ports and their connection to the rail network, the potential of transporting goods by sea between the two countries will increase."
