“Success of new government is success for all of us”

Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with the top officials including president-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian, new members and speaker of the parliament, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The Leader, in this meeting held in Imam Khomeini Husseiniya on Sunday morning, called on all sections of the country to cooperate with the newly-elected president stressing that any victory achieved by the president is a victory for all people.

Ayatollah Khamenei urged all sections to assist the new president in fulfilling his mission regarding the country and said,” If the new president makes any achievement in promoting the economy and international and cultural affairs, then that achievement will be beneficial for all people.”

The Leader stressed eight points: necessity of parliament being responsive, constructive cooperation of parliament and the new government, necessity of a unified voice to be heard from the key sections of country, prevalence of morality in parliament debates, dos and don’ts in lawmaking, moderate observation, constructive role of the board observing lawmakers and also active participation of parliament in global and foreign affairs.

Ayatollah Khamenei counted piety, sincerity, commitment to country and efficiency among the key features for the members of the future cabinet.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized the issue of Palestine as number one issue in the world of Islam.

Ayatollah Khamenei said,” A huge political, economic and military system called the United States accompanied by the Israeli regime is fighting a small group like the resistance and as far as the two sinister states have not made it to beat Hamas resistance movement, they empty their bombs over hospitals, schools and over women and children.

The Leader urged the parliament members not to remain silent regarding the issue of Palestine and added,” Today the key instance of foreign policy activity for you is to pursue the issue of Gaza.”

Senior officials including the Parliament speaker Ghalibaf also delivered speech in this meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei.
