Mazari has made the remarks at the fourth webinar of the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference scheduled to be held on September 14-21.

He lauded the initiative of Imam Khomeini (RA) in the designation of a specific day in the word for Quds Day.
Before Imam’s initiative, the Palestinian cause had been neglected, Mazari stated.

He further noted that all Muslims are in favor of the liberation of occupied Palestine.

In the post-Islamic Republic era, the unity of Shia and Sunni has increased, he pointed out.

Shia people of Lebanon’s Hezbollah keep supporting the Sunni nation of Palestine, he said, terming the Hezbollah’s action as a quintessential example of Islamic unity.

Shia people of Yemen also back the Palestinians which is another perfect example of the Islamic unity, he added.

The unity of Shia and Sunni Muslims in supporting the defenseless nation is the manifestation of the Islamic unity in the world, he underscored.
