“Assassination of Hamas chief boosted Islamic solidarity”
A professor of Iran’s Qom Seminary has blasted the Israeli massacre of Palestinians in Gaza stressing that the ongoing war in the besieged strip and assassination of the Hamas chief has brought different Islamic denominations closer to each other.

Seyed Taha Moosavi Hashtroudi, speaking at the fifth webinar of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference entitled "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue" said the Israeli genocidal war against Gaza during the past eleven months has in fact boosted the solidarity of Muslims worldwide, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said that the funeral prayer of the Hamas chief by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei reveals the mutual support and respect between the Shia and Sunni Muslims.
He expressed hope that the support of the world Muslims for the Palestinian people will eventually lead to elimination of the Israeli occupying regime.
The prominent Iranian cleric, Seyed Taha Moosavi Hashtroodi, made the remarks in the online section of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference entitled "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue".
The second part of the annual event has been scheduled to be held in the Iranian capital Tehran on September 19-21.
The conference is annually held by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week that marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
