In a speech delivered at the sixth webinar of the 38th International Islamic Unity Conference scheduled to be held on September 14-21, Abid touched on Palestine as the issue of Muslim unity.

How our crisis can be solved through collective measure is called Muslim unity, he underlined.

First and foremost, the step that Muslims should take is to establish solid diplomatic relations, he said.

He went on to say that economic ties must be taken into consideration in the Islamic countries.

Social and cultural relations need to be focused on as the aspects can inspire people's minds and behavior, he further noted.

Referring to nearly 50,000 Palestinians who have lost their lives in the Gaza War, he said that the nation of Palestine suffers from a lack of basic needs namely food and water.

Islamic nations should take practical measures to confront the oppression against the Palestinians, he underscored.
