“Interests of Islamic countries lie in their cooperation, unity”
A prominent Indian scholar has highlighted importance of unity among Muslims calling that the secret to victory of the world nations.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Askari, speaking at the seventh webinar of the Islamic Unity Conference, said that the solidarity of people will bring them in massive arrays against the enemies, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He noted that the idea of monotheism and unity of voices make the basic foundations of Islam warning against hostility, schism and dispersion as some of the worst plagues in the Islamic countries.
“The world of Islam is a unified body of Muslims and if one member is in pain the rest will also be affected.”
The Indian cleric warned against hostile efforts by enemies and said,” We live in an era that enemies are united to annihilation of Islam and hired all their economic, political means to annihilate Islam” and added,” The plan by major Jewish strategist in the White House Samuel Huntington in his book The Clash of Civilizations is a proof for that; therefore, in such an era particularly in regards to the Gaza condition, the Islamic nation is in dire need of cooperation.”
Hujjat-ul-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Askari warned,” The arrogant powers do not want Muslims to have any cooperation or compassion with each other and they find their interests in schism, expansion of terrorism, hatred and domination while the interests of the Islamic countries lie in their cooperation and true interaction with each other.”
If the Islamic countries were united, then we would not witness such massive crimes and violation of humanitarian laws, brutalities and heinous crimes”, said the cleric referring to the ongoing Israeli atrocities in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Referring to the issue of Palestine, the Indian scholar said,” Palestine belongs to all Muslims across the globe and any man with any ideological view or denomination must know the issue of Palestine.”
He concluded, “Palestinians who are fighting the occupying Zionists should know that the world of Islam will support them.”
More than 150 scholars, religious figures and intellectuals from across the world of Islam attend the online section of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference held by the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
The second part of the annual conference is scheduled to be held on September 19-21 in the Iranian capital Tehran with a number of religious and political figures in attendance.
