He called on the intellectuals participating the Islamic Unity Conference to take action in support of Palestinians stressing that the final communique of the conference could contribute to resolving the sufferings of the Palestinians.

The senior Sunni scholar, Esam Al Din Gukalan, made the remarks in the online section of the 38th Islamic Unity Conference entitled "Islamic cooperation to achieve common values with an emphasis on the Palestinian issue".
