Leader calls for taking path of Islam, Qur’an pursued by Gen. Soleimani

The Leader of Islamic Revolution made the remarks in a meeting with the families of martyrs including the family of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani in a ceremony to mark the fifth martyrdom anniversary of Iran’s counter-terrorism commander, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The family of other martyrs, including families of General Soleimani’s companions as well as those targeted in 2023 terrorist attack in Kerman, also attended the meeting with the Leader held in Imam Khomeini (RA) Husseiniya on Wednesday morning.

Ayatollah Khamenei, in his speech, lauded the assassinated commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) for fighting a prolonged hybrid political, military and cultural war and playing a pivotal role for the Iraqi nation to decide their own fate.

The Leader called the failure of the American plot of Daesh terrorists as another achievement made by the timely presence of General Soleimani and praised the Iraqi youths in their counter-terrorism fight which was eventually won due to the innovation and contribution of General Soleimani.

Ayatollah Khamenei said the constant strategy of General Soleimani was the “Revival of the resistance front”.

The Leader referred to defense of the holy shrines in Iraq, Syria and particularly occupied al-Quds as the key principle during all years of struggles by General Soleimani and noted,” That was the reason why late Ismail Haniyeh, in the funeral procession of General Soleimani, called him as “Martyr of al-Quds”.

Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the desecration of the holy shrine in Samarrah by the US-backed Takfiri terrorists in Iraq and said,” Not only the holy shrines in Syria but also those in Karbala and Najaf would have had the same fate had it not been for General Soleimani’s defense.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution lauded the Iranian military advisors, also known as “defenders of shrines” for hoisting the flag of resistance despite the heavy funding of adversaries by ill-wishers.

The Leader stressed,” Enemies have not and will not be able to lower the flag of resistance in Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, Iran and Iraq.

Ayatollah Khamenei rejected any possibility for permanent presence of occupiers in Syria and said,” Syria belongs to its people and those intruding into Syrian territories will be forced to withdraw by Syrian youths.”

The Leader also denounced the construction of US bases in Syria and said the occupiers must leave other countries’ territories or they will be forced to do so.

Ayatollah Khamenei called Lebanon an epitome of resistance and said,” Although wounded, Lebanon has never submitted and it will eventually be victorious.”

The Leader concluded that the aggressor enemies, particularly the criminal greedy US will withdraw the region with humiliation
