The President of the Malaysian council, Azmi Abdul Hamid, noted in his recent statement the “humanity’s unchecked capacity for destruction whether through neglect for the planet or the perpetuation of war, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The statement is issued as massive fires have been ravaging through Los Angeles for a week with the US officials calling it the most devastating natural disaster in the history of the country.

He said,” These infernos, fueled by climate change and mismanagement of natural resources, parallel the devastation witnessed in conflict zones like Gaza, where US-made modern weaponry has caused catastrophic harm.”

The Malaysian scholar highlighted the global condemnation for the US military and weaponry supports for the Israel that helped the regime leveling the entire neighborhoods in Gaza Strip to the point of resembling ‘apocalyptic landscapes.”

The remarks by Azmi Abdul Hamid comes as more than 15 months of Israeli genocidal war on Gaza has left a trail of death and destruction in the besieged Strip.

According to Gaza Health Ministry the Palestinian death toll since October 2023 has surpassed 46,000 with more than 109,000 others wounded as thousands more remain unaccounted for.
