According to the announcement, Zakaria al-Zirak from Morocco, Hadi Movahed Amin from Iran, Owais Ahmadian from Afghanistan, Mohammad Vejahat Reza from Pakistan, Indonesia’s Ilham Mahmoud al-Din, Yemen’s Bilal Abdullah Ali, Iraq's Yas Fadhl Jassem and Tajikistan’s Samareddin Samadev will compete in the recitation category.
