The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has called on the members states of the prominent Islamic body and all international partners to quickly send humanitarian aids for the quake-hit people in Morocco.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has honored the head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society (IRCS) over its relief efforts following the devastating earthquake that jolted the country in February.

China has called, in a note at UN, that the sanctions against Syria to be lifted as the country is desperate following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit parts of the Arab country and Turkey.

The quake took place at 15:55:27 pm (local time) on Saturday, at 55.31 longitudes and 28.19 latitudes, and a depth of 16 km.

According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the earthquake occurred at 17:05 local time (13:35 GMT) at a depth of 12 km.
