“Muslims should be vigil in face of divisive movements”, Turkish professor

The deputy of Igdir University in Turkey called on Muslims to stand vigilant in the face of the destructive forces that wish division for the world of Islam.

Professor Ebrahim Demirtash, speaking at 12th webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference underlined unity as the only solution to settle the current challenges in the world of Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
                                                                   
He called on all people to endeavor for mutual understanding of each other and warned against the sinister thoughts that try to create disunion and division between Muslims and non-Muslims.
 
The Turkish thinker warned of what he called “malicious people, societies or countries that try to create disunion and division that disperses Muslims
 
 
Professor Demirtash urged Muslims to stand cautious regarding those who want the Muslims divided.
 
The Turkish professor said Muslims should maintain Islamic laws particularly in their speech, actions and behavior in order to avoid anything that might cause division in the Islamic ummah.
 
He highlighted importance of cooperation among Muslims and voiced preparation to hold or attend the conferences that address the Muslim world issues.
           
 
The deputy of Igdir University in Turkey made the remarks in an address to the participants in the 12th webinar of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference.
 
The 37th International Islamic Unity Conference has been scheduled to convene Shia and Sunni elites and religious figures on 28th September to 3rd October 2023. As organized by Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, this year the meeting focuses on the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values.” The event is annually held concurrent with the Islamic Unity Week which marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
