The Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought said the latest developments in Syria must not derail the attention of Muslim world from the role played by the US and Israeli regime.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the remarks in his speech at the farewell ceremony held for the former president of the University of Islamic Denomination, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said,” The present condition in Syria is due to the plots by enemies of the resistance axis.”

Shahriari stressed that the military, financial, logistical and intelligence supports provided by the world arrogant powers for the Israeli regime must not be go unnoticed.

The senior cleric hailed the “massive” achievements made by Iran related to the resistance and said,” Undoubtedly the most important of these achievements was in absorbing the Muslim world support for the resistance axis. “

According to the cleric the endeavors of the Islamic Republic for the resistance movement are laid in the heart of Islam and everybody knows that it was Iran who stood up for the Palestine objective.
