In a statement released yesterday, the campaign reported that Israeli occupation authorities are still withholding the bodies of three Palestinians killed early Tuesday morning in Jenin.
“Israeli bulldozing operations caused the burial of Palestinians under sand mounds used by the army for fortification in several areas of Gaza City and the north,” Civil Defence spokesperson, Mahmoud Basal, told Anadolu.
In a statement, the Civil Defense explained that Israeli forces have repeatedly targeted rescue teams and ambulances, specifically when they attempt to approach the bodies of those killed.
This came in a joint statement issued by the Palestine Prisoners Society (PPS), the Detainees and Ex-detainees Commission, the Damir Foundation for Human Rights, and the National Campaign to Recover the Bodies of Martyrs on the occasion of the National Day for Recovering Bodies, which falls on August 27 of each year.
