Supreme Leader: Use of huge capacities of sea must become a common culture in country
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei emphasized in a meeting with a number of commanders of the Navy: "Using the opportunity of the sea and its huge capacities should become a common culture in the country."

The Supreme Leader has stressed that the comprehensive improvement of combat power and defense equipment in the navy and continuing actions such as navigation in distant and international waters are necessary and noted: "Strengthening the relationship of the armed forces with the administration and other branches of government will help understanding and cooperation and the progress of work."
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution pointed to the seafaring records of Iranians in the past, which caused the transfer of Islamic and Iranian culture and civilization to other parts of the world, and stated: "Despite this history and the long sea coasts in the north and especially the south of Iran, the culture of using the opportunities of the sea is neglected in the country and should become the common culture of the people".
Ayatollah Khamenei considered culturalization and public understanding of the sea as a basic infrastructure necessary and underscored: "In the past few years, the development of Makran coasts was discussed and the different administrations welcomed it, but serious progress in this matter requires culturalization".
Ayatollah Khamenei called artistic productions, including animation, effective in introducing the diverse opportunities of the sea and said: "By using artistic productions and introducing the capabilities of the country's maritime development, both in the military and civil sectors, the enthusiasm of the people to use this opportunity will increase".
In this meeting, Admiral Shahram Irani, the commander of the Army Navy, also presented a report on the actions and plans of this force in different sectors.
