In response to the explosions of communication devices, specifically pagers, which resulted in numerous casualties, Al-Hakim stated, "We strongly condemn the criminal attacks carried out by the Zionist occupation regime in southern Beirut and several Lebanese cities, which have martyred and wounded many innocent civilians."
In a written statement, Hakim emphasized the urgency of global action to halt the occupying forces' aggression and urged international, Islamic, and Arab institutions to take decisive measures. He specifically called on the United Nations to condemn the usurping regime's actions and provide much-needed support to the Palestinians.

Ammar al-Hakim said on Friday that all the Iraqi nation sought was a real will to activate the power elements for the establishment of a professional military system protected from any infiltration.
